Mindfulness
"We know the world only through the window of our mind. When our mind is noisy, the world is as well. And when our mind is peaceful, the world is, too. Knowing our minds is just as important as trying to change the world." -
- Buddhist monk Haemin Sunim
Mindfulness enables individuals to experience the vast potential for positive personal and collective healing through meditation, breathwork and visualisation. Mindfulness forms an integral part of each session to bring the client’s focused attention to the moment to moment flow of any arising sensations, emotions and thoughts that may be underlying the challenges brought to therapy. Mindfulness fosters self-awareness, understanding, emotional flexibility, self-regulation and self-compassion to harness the client’s innate resources to support the tolerating and management of difficult emotions which, in turn, can help to alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety and chronic pain.
