Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

CBT is based on the premise that all behaviour is ‘learned’ and, therefore, that unhealthy behaviour can be ‘unlearned’ and reconfigured in positive ways. Clients learn to recognise specific triggers that activate the Sympathetic Nervous system’s fight and flight response and to use tools that help them to tolerate, regulate and manage the thought and emotional patterns that arise and substitute negative responses with functional ones that enhance self-awareness, self-esteem and emotional resilience. CBT is appropriate for addressing anxiety, ADHD, addiction, OCD, behavioural issues, phobias and insomnia.
