Journalling

Journaling, as a reflective tool, is employed in tandem with artmaking to enhance the scope for insight, perspective, and clarity about complex issues that are being faced. While the artwork enables the abstract to become tangible and offers new ways of seeing the world beyond the confines of language, journaling in response to the non verbal art experience and on the artwork itself creates a cognitive bridge towards further understanding of the nuances of internal emotional terrains. The journal provides a written record of the therapy process and assists with integration this with everyday life.
